Three dimesions of happiness


We can be happy about the

  • past: being happy about the life we had till this now (life satisfaction or contentment), or the day before; they are called evaluated happiness

  • present: when our mind is occupied only in the present moment, not thinking about the past and not hoping about the future; we experience reality as it is above judgement; it is called experienced happiness

  • future: we wonder our attention about the future; in case sails on the winds of optimism, we call it expected happiness
